In November, Holly Wright, the Research Projects Manager here at the ADS, published an article in Conversation Perspectives – the newsletter of the Getty Conservation Institute (CGI). The article, ‘A Digital Repository for the Past: the UK Archaeology Data Service’, details the history of the ADS from its inception in 1996, its current core activities and its work on international research projects. This article was part of an issue that explores Heritage Data Management and includes articles on the challenges and possibilities of managing cultural heritage data, the Arches Platform and ethical issues. You can download the newsletter for free from the CGI website.
