TETRACHs Seminar – The future of cultural informatics

We are excited to announce the next seminar of the Transforming data rE-use in ARCHaeology (TEtrARCHs) project.

Dr. Angeliki Antoniou from the University of West Attica (Greece) will present on ‘The future of cultural informatics’.

The seminar will take place at 13:00 (GMT) on Friday 28th March 2025.

Dr Antoniou will critically explore the evolving Digital Humanities, from its shift to Cultural Informatics to its changing approaches to interdisciplinarity and artistic/scientific practice. The talk will examine ‘phygitality’—the blend of physical and digital experiences— as well as AI, and climate heritage networks, highlighting the field’s response to modern challenges. The talk will also look ahead at Cultural Informatics’ future and the need for ethical frameworks in addressing the intersection of technology and culture.
